The Bowers-Bower-Bures Family in England [1]

This article raises the possibility that the Durham and York Bowes families may relate to a Scottish Bowers family. He notes the similarities between one of the Bowers' arms and the names, but it's not clear whether this Bowers family had any right to use these arms or how the arms became associated with a Bowers line.
