Please note: As administrator of the Bowes surname study and its DNA Project, I receive no financial renumeration of any kind. I am strictly a volunteer pursuing my hobby.
I hear from many people who bear our surname(s) and want to join the DNA Project but can't afford the cost. This holds back progress in the surname study in addition to our individual research.
To address these roadblocks, the DNA Project has established a General Fund through its testing company, Family Tree DNA, to accept donations by credit card in any amount and currency.
All sizes of donation are welcome, small to large. Data obtained through individual DNA tests advances our surname study, and in doing so can advance your family history when new matches to you join!

Please select the letter "B" in the top left box of the donation form. When all of the B surnames load in the box to the right of that, scroll down and select "Bowes." Provide any specific instructions in the "Note" field.
You can donate:
- anonymously
- "In memory of ..."
- "In honor of ..."
- for any participant to advance the study as a whole
- for a specific individual to join
- for a specific test for a current participant
- to advance some other goal within the study that interests you
